CANADA/ASIA LIQUID FILLING CO-PRODUCTION

Executive on Demand Position:

President, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Chief Operating Officer, Director International Sales, Vice President Distribution/Logistics, Vice President Procurement

Project Outline:

Develop co-production relationship closer to the largest emerging aftermarket for automotive packaged service and maintenance chemical products. The China market is increasingly becoming price sensitive and in order to maintain the business with current private brand customers selling internationally the manufacturer needed to develop and implement a strategy that would ensure the retention of its clients by keeping them competitively priced in the markets they are serving.

Project Outcome:

Researched, traveled and approved several potential chemical filling manufacturers in Asia. The first of two approved is located in Taiwan, which is very close to China. This location was selected because Taiwan is well recognized as country and population that respects international law as it relates to IP. In addition, the implementation of ECFA in January 2011 between Taiwan and China established a free trade zone between the two countries. The competitive nature of the manufacturer, the implementation of the ECFA agreement and and Taiwan’s neighbourly location to China made it an ideal selection to establish and learn the ins and outs of creating and establishing the terms necessary for creating a manufacturing and distribution network for customer closer to their clients located in China.
