NEW VEHICLE SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM – CRITICAL FLUID COMPARATOR

Executive on Demand Position:

President, Chief Operating Officer, Vice President Sales and Marketing, General Manager, Vice President Market Research

Project Outline:

Develop a marketing program that is driven by a relationship sales technique. For a company that produces liquid products used in large volumes in the automotive service and repair industry, this means to develop a tool or piece of equipment that administers the product into a vehicle or that it can assist in demonstrating a need for a service.

Project Outcome:

Develop a syringe to draw several different critical fluids from a vehicle’s engine and drivetrain systems. Oils, coolant and other fluids have a specified life expectancy that is dictated by the vehicle manufacturer. Most of the time vehicle owners ignore servicing these fluids as they are not easy to find or view their condition. Mileage based replacement is not as effective as seeing a fluid that displays that it has lost its lubricating or cooling capabilities.

The critical fluid syringe program is available in two formats. A single syringe and a three pack syringe kits. The service kits are offered to customers as part of a replacement fluid contract. The syringe kits are generally discounted or given away “FREE” as long as the fluids being serviced are supplied by the company that provided the syringe kits.
