Business Development – China

Guangdong, China:
Opportunity 1:

Automotive chemical manufacturer and packager for China based brands identified as partner for North American company.  Product assortment, brand and distribution qualification completed. North American brand added to China based company and the organization has been an export client for more than 2 years.

Opportunity 2:

Identified and visited an automotive aftermarket distributor specializing in servicing the original equipment manufacturers (OEM) dealer organizations. Product assortment, brand and distribution agreement completed. Terms and conditions of the relationship have also been recently completed. Exports are to begin prior to the end of 2011.

Beijing, China:

Large automotive distributor – products assortment, brand and distribution qualification completed. The terms and conditions of an agreement have yet to be finalized.

Shanghai, China:
Opportunity 1:

Medium size automotive distributor – product assortment, brand and distribution qualification completed. The terms and conditions of an agreement have yet to be finalized.

Opportunity 2:

Major national oil company (gasoline/diesel dispensing) with more than 700 refueling locations in Shanghai – product assortment, brand and distribution qualification completed. To close the deal the client requires that there be some local manufacturing content in the products to be purchased. Discussions are ongoing.

Opportunity 3:

Consortium specializing in the design and building of 1,800 new vehicle dealer sales and service stores for China only branded original equipment manufacturers (OEM). This organization is contracted to provide global class dealer stores for the sales of new cars, the servicing and maintenance expertise and equipment and the aftermarket support to the China branded car dealers. The North American company has been invited to be the a specialist in a service and maintenance category along with the products, the product knowledge and training necessary to deliver the high level of service expected.

Hong Kong:

Major automotive distributor entity (operates more than 100 global branded automotive dealerships i.e. Jaguar, Rolls Royce, GM, Ford, Toyota, etc…) throughout China. Relationship established and further discussions ongoing related to product brand, pricing and distribution rights.

Nanjing, China:

Major automotive distributor in both the original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket channels identified and approved. Assortment, brand and business terms completed. Distribution exclusivity for the North American manufacturers brand became a roadblock requiring extended discussions and delayed launch of the opportunity.
