Travelogues: Personal Experiences While Travelling to and from Asia
TRAVELOGUES
Whenever you travel to a distant land everybody you know wants you to share that experience upon your return. Their curiosity varies but most are interested in how I adapted to the different culture, worked where English or French may not have been the language of choice and what the food like and did I like what I ate.
Looking back at where I have been and what I have seen and experienced is ideally suited for today’s blogging technology. Tracking my travels, recording my experiences and sharing them in real time with family, friends, students and co-workers would have been a very satisfying alternative then being a story teller after the fact. I have attached a series of travelogues that I created and shared via fax with my family and friends. An experienced traveler to Asia will certainly relate to the experiences described, however if you are a new to foreign travel to Asia, the stories may provide you with valuable insights as to what to expect and how to prepare yourself for the upcoming opportunity.
