Business executives make important decisions each and every day. A good decision and a successful program execution are always made using supporting documentation. Throughout my career I have been an active participant in both the decision maker and the information creator roles. A personal preference of mine has always been to generate interactive business models using the data management capability within the Microsoft Office Excel program. It is a powerful data management program that can be used to create useful “What If”, “Projection” and “Comparative” analysis tools for a broad range of clients.
In the small and medium size enterprise (SME) market, the manufacturers and store operators do not have readily available and accessible information and programs to help them make informed decisions. The programs are usually expensive and integrated into complex product, inventory, logistics and customer information data servers. The following is a list of Microsoft Excel based programs the I have developed to provide SME’s with data mining information to help them make more informed decisions. Each program is described in detail in separate posts to describe the purpose of the analysis tool and how it can help a manager make a decision. Each of the programs were developed to service the need of a client.
