ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER – BUSINESS PROGRAM, HUMBER COLLEGE
Humber College is a community college located in Toronto, Ontario. It has two campuses within Toronto and several satellite campuses in smaller northern communities. The main campus is located in Rexdale and the second is located along the lakeshore in Etobicoke.
The advisory board that I am an active participant in is responsible for the business diploma program (2 and 3 year diplomas are granted). The school also offers a 4 year business degree program. Advisory Board members meet twice annually. During these sessions, the business school head her support team meet with a group of 8 – 10 industry advisors that work in a wide range of small business owners and large corporation managers to seek input and evaluations on the programs offered, the services provided and most importantly, what trends need to be recognized to ensure that the college business offering is current to the market shifts.
