Giving Back
Getting involved in the communities you live and work in is very important to your success and self worth. We are mentored every step of the way in our life’s activities (sports – coach, career – boss and co-workers, education – teachers, etc…). As we mature and become confident in ourselves it is important to give back to the community that gave you your chance to attain success. It is fairly easy to get involved in our local personal communities especially if you have a family. Because of this we get involved in the children’s school activities, recreational activities and family relationships.
For me it was also important to get involved in activities unrelated to my personal life. Participating in industry associations and post secondary educational institution advisory boards provides me with an opportunity to mentor people and share my experiences to enhance the information and the value of the information taught in career based educational programs.
