Travel Industry CRM – Making the Travel Agent Relevant Again

Project Outline:

One of North America’s largest service providers of back-end accounting solutions to the travel industry recognized that the current CRM program integrated within their travel industry specific accounting package no longer meets the needs of the current business environment. Feedback received from the company’s sales organization and its customer user group/committee has consistently highlighted that the management, process, maintenance and presentation of the CRM program as it exists today is outdated, unfriendly, and lacks in delivering informative performance feedback at all user levels (Head Office, and Agency and Travel Agent) and most importantly the program is not very effective in developing, and executing customer successful sales generating marketing campaigns.

The first phase of the project is to deliver the following:

  • Validate the issues reported by the company’s sales group and user feedback group (Interview sales personnel and travel agents)
  • Research CRM programs offered by competitive travel industry back-end accounting solutions (Online)
  • Research third party PC based and online CRM solutions (Online)
  • Report and recommend to President and senior management team the results of the project findings and provide recommended CRM design and services requirements, specifications to delivering an enhanced travel industry specific, user friendly sales generating CRM program
